These Terms and Conditions and your use of our web site are governed by English law and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English court. This does not affect your non-excludable statutory rights.
This website and our Terms and Conditions have been designed for use within the United Kingdom and under UK law. Nicholas John Interiors can only sell to customers who are resident in the UK.
A Contract between the customer and Nicholas John Interiors for the sale of our products will only exist once an order has been accepted, processed and despatched. This does not affect the customer’s statutory rights.
Prices and availability of goods is subject to change without notice. However, we will endeavour to keep the customer informed at all times if there is likely to be any variation to the prices or delivery as advertised and should any change be made then the company will comply with the customers wishes with regard to the ongoing status of the order and if necessary cancel the order and return any monies already taken.
You can decide at any time up to the date of despatch, to cancel the order for any reason. No charge will be made unless an order has been made for a specific item not normally carried in stock and you have been advised of this fact. For these special orders you will be liable for a charge of 25% of the normal purchase price. If you do cancel the order within this time any payments due to you will be refunded in full within 7 days.
What happens if I don’t like what I have purchased?
If for whatever reason you wish to return an item to us, you must contact us within 7 days of receipt and we will provide you with a returns number. You will then be able to return the item to us for a full refund.*
How can I return an item to you?
If you wish to return an item to us you can either arrange to deliver it back to us yourself or we can arrange for a courier to collect it from you. Dependent upon where you are in the country will depend upon the amount charged. If the item was originally delivered on an overnight service then we make a charge of £25. If the item was delivered by our two man delivery company then the following charges apply England & Scotland (exc Highlands) £50, Highlands – £70. If you decide to send the item back yourself then you will be responsible for any damage that may occur prior to us receiving it.
* Whether you decide to send it back yourself or use our returns service the item must be returned unused , unaltered in any way, in ALL the original packaging and in a re-saleable condition in order for a full refund to be given. If this condition is not fulfilled then the company reserves the right to offer only a partial refund or credit.
If I return a product to you when will I receive my refund?
As soon as we receive the item back it will be inspected and the refund will be issued normally within 24 hours of receipt. Once the item has been refunded you will receive a confirmation email.
What happens if the item is damaged on arrival?
If you receive an item that has been damaged in transit you must notify us within 24 hours of receipt either by phone or email. We will ask you to email or send via a mobile phone, a picture of the damage. Once this has been received we will arrange to collect the damaged item and replace it for you. *
What happens if there is a fault with an item?
We check every item that leaves our premises however if you do find a fault with an item we will gladly replace it for you.* This applies to all items including “specials”.
* Please note that if you find a fault with an item or the item is damaged on arrival and you decide that you do not want it replaced then you will be required to return it at your cost or use our returns service.
Can I return an item that you have ordered specially for me?
Any items that you wish to return that have been ordered in specially for you, which you will have been advised of at the time of ordering, can be returned however, we reserve the right to charge a re-stocking charge of 25% of the price of the item(s) in addition to any courier charge. Please note that we only accept goods for return that have been delivered to the UK mainland and returned unused , unaltered in any way, in the original packaging and in a re-saleable condition.
N.B. We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged in transit.
*Refunds will only be made for items that are returned in their original condition and in their original packaging. The company will not make any refund if a product has been altered in any way (e.g. wire/chain cut).
Deliveries not collected from the Courier
If you are unavailable at the time a parcel is being delivered and have received a card advising you that the parcel has been returned to the courier’s depot you will have the option to arrange delivery on another day. This service is operated by the courier and The Chandelier & Mirror Company cannot take any responsibility for this alternative arrangement.
We accept online payment in a secure environment by credit card. We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Visa Debit, Maestro and Switch cards only. Alternatively payment can be made by contacting the company and arranging to send a cheque or provide payment details over the phone. Orders taken and paid for over the phone will only be despatched after payment has been cleared. All transactions are shown in £ sterling.
All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of publication and are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and where appropriate are inclusive of UK sales tax (VAT) at the current rate. The current rate of VAT is 20%.
If you are outside the UK mainland then please email us your requirements, including the address where the items are required to be sent and we will provide a quotation. This quotation will include the cost of shipping and delivery to you but will exclude any import taxes and/or customs duties payable.
If you are an individual ordering from outside of the UK but inside the Euro zone then we are required to include VAT to the price quoted.
If you are a company ordering from outside the UK but inside the Euro zone and you are registered for VAT then please include your VAT registration number and we will be able to provide a quote excluding VAT.
If you are ordering from the rest of the world we will supply you excluding VAT.
Please note if you wish to place an order and are outside the UK mainland email our sales office at[email protected] first for a quotation to include the cost of shipping.
Please also note that in certain instances local customs will impose duties or taxes on the goods entering the country, payment of this tax is the responsibility of the customer.
All dates quoted for delivery are estimated delivery dates only and may be subject to change and we can accept no liability for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) for delivery at any time other than the estimated date for delivery.
We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct at the time of going to press. However, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used by you.
Nicholas John Interiors does not seek to exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence or that of its members agents directors or employees or for any fraudulent misrepresentation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law and save as provided above, neither Nicholas John Interiors nor any associated company shall be liable to you by reason of any representation, or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the contract, or in negligence (whether on the part of Nicholas John Interiors or any of its members, agents, directors, employees or otherwise) for any indirect special or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of saving), costs, expenses or other claims for compensation whatsoever which arise out of or in connection with the use of this website, the supply of the products or their use or resale by you.
“The limitations of liability in these conditions shall apply equally for the benefit of Nicholas John Interiors and any other associated company of Nicholas John Interiors as if references to Nicholas John Interiors included references to each such associated company.”

Any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claim of whatever nature arising out of the supply of goods will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. The Parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
